Among the usual daily press conference, the Press Secretary today
fired back at the Chinese President.

"Unfortunately, Madam President's analysis of the situation, as usual,
ignores several factors: Firstly, there's plenty of American yards
who'd happily do commercial work. However, it's hard to compete
against labor costs of cents per hour, minimal safety and
envirionmental regulations, crushed trade unions....and subsidies to
boot.

"Ladies and gentlemen, look for the union label...But make sure
they're real unions, as in North America and Europe, not
government-run unions, as in China, or practically-company unions, as
in Japan."
