    My apologies on the lack of comment from DC as to the day's
events. We've been gut-punched by the attack near the Capitol, and
they killed at least one member of the Senate, with more of the
Legislative Branch wounded, as well as civilians.

    I've been watching the Chinese response, as well as her traffic
with Australia.

    Given that I just spent the last 6 hours in hospitals, I'm in no
mood to be diplomatic.

    PM Decker: Let it go. Hong is a wounded wife, she's lashing out.
It's probably a death trap for her people, but the blood is on her
hands. She isn't going to listen to reason, and I'm not sure I can
blame her for that. I'd be the same way if Kayleigh were hurt. Either
way, keep your eye on the ball.

    The Mounties get an official hat-tip from this office, PM McColl.
Consulate Toronto should be delivering a case of beer to the unit
responsible, please let them accept it.

    And more seriously, I know we weren't the only one hit.

    You all have my condolences. I think its clear the Iranians are
going to make us pay for standing up for the right thing.

    Thoughts on the situation as it stands:

     1. I rate it as probably unlikely that we will see another attack
of this nature from the Iranians.
     2. That said, break out the MOPP gear. I fully expect Iran to use
chemical and biological weapons against deployed forces.
     3. No more waiting: If you are going to be in, ante up. You have
24 hours to declare national force contributions to myself and SACEUR.
<OOC: I know for sure the Canadian contrib and the Japanese
contribution, everybody else has been sketchy. I need details.>
     4. No, I am not going to 'liase' with the Chinese. Sorry, but
they're an OPSEC threat.
     5. More as it becomes coherent to follow.
