UK: Interview with the Foreign minister
PM Dennis Brandt, United Kingdom.
==Sky news interview room==
"We are joined here by Foreign Secretary Frances Urquart. Mr Urquart."
"Pleasure to be here, Ellen."
"The first conservative government position paper discusses the United
States and the strained relations that have plagued the alliance."
Frances nodded, "Yes, the confusion with the multiple governments, with
the sudden change from left to right. From arguing about the lethal
injection of a murderer to suddenly placing Florida on the same level as
Darfur and Iraq during the US occupation with a severe travel
caution and even going so far as advising Subjects not to travel to the
southern US which was just in my opinion a slap in the face of our
oldest Ally."
The interviewer nodded, "And what is the government's position ?"
"We will work on repairing any damage to the relationship with the
United States, the travel warnings are an insult and are immediately
lifting, the State of Florida has the killers in prison where they will
not leave any time soon. This is not some banana republic, this is one
of the oldest democracies in the world, they have been a close friend
and long standing ally."
The interviewer nodded again, "And the position in the world?"
"As in... will we be more independent and not have the same America's
poodle rigmarole that had been tossed around by activists. We are our
own nation, we have our own foreign policy we will pursue, we will look
out for the United Kingdom."
The interviewer nodded, "And do you have any plans in that regard?"
Frances chuckled, "As the nefarious gentleman who shares my name would
say. You might think that but I could not possibly comment."
Actions
1) Remove travel restrictions in the US
2) Make nice with Uncle Sam
3) Inform the world we are going to be more involved in international
affairs.
