Beijing (WNN) - Chinese authorities announced a major success in stopping 
the tide of illegal immigrants crossing the Russian-Chinese border. 
Following what was described in the press conference as 'numerous leads' 
Chinese authorities seized a truck on it's way to the Russian border along 
with the 33 people hidden inside the trailer. Those seized were able to 
identify the man coordinating the transport as Jiang Yu, a known member of 
the Big Circle Triad. Jiang along with five other associates were arrested 
as a result of this seizure.

A spokesperson for National Police Agency, said that while they had no 
conclusive evidence of complicty on the part of Russian border guards, he 
finds it highly unlikely such an operation could remain undetected for this 
long without the complicity of Russian border officials.

However reports leaked from the National Police Agency suggest that the 
corruption would nessisarily include members of the Police Agency itself, 
however the National Police Agency has offered no further comment on this 
incident or the idea of it's officers being involved in the smuggling.
