BREAKING NEWS: TSUNAMI HITS JAPAN

Sapporo (AP, March 3) - A 5-meter high tsunami struck Akita 
Prefecture, Japan this morning, a result of the seismic activity 
surrounding the eruption of Mt. Baekdu in North Korea.

The Japanese government has rushed civil defense resources to the 
area, but casaulties are expected to be high, with aerial photography 
indicating that much of the coastline from Oga Peninsula to Tobi-shima 
has been impacted by the waves.

Prefectural officials indicate that much of the infrastructure along 
the coast has been destroyed, with up to 50,000 people effected.
