"Unity of Command"
12 October 2006
Pres. John Williams
USA
===========
Thursday was the first day this week where John Williams could say it
was going to be a boring day.

So today was a day for some quick housekeeping.

US forces in Afghanistan had, in recent weeks, mostly transferred
under the operational control of the NATO International Security
Assistance Force.

Thus, the next Memo made sense.

Re: Unity of Command

Gentlemen,

In an effort to both prove that we can be team players and to
better coordinate matters in the AO, I am ordering that all US
Personnel in the OEF-A (Operation Enduring Freedom-Afghanistan) AO,
regardless of unit or task, will be under the Operational Control of
the Commander, International Security Assistance Force, effective
immediately. While that has been done for most of our troops in
Afganistan, I'm informed we still have some who aren't under the NATO
flag. So, we end that anomaly.

Williams

Actions:
1. A quick post. All US troops in Afghanistan are under ISAF for
operational purposes, if they are not already. Have fun, Mike.
